Just Mare on Etsy

For some reason the mug reminds me of the mug I stole from my father's apartment after he died. I appreciate the handcrafted nature of this one as much as he did the handcrafted nature of his own he used every morning.

I would really very much so like to have a mug of my own. How great would it be to have a mug that is so beautiful and so... sooo... sooooo *sigh*. I am a little more comfortable than I was a moment ago. You know the feeling of sitting with a nice hot cup of coffee in front of a big window watching the Earth wake up? Comfortable like that.

Etsy is doing a story right now that you can read here. I really like Mary already. Her quoted quote is one of my new favorites. It's spoken so much more eliquently than the rambling explanation of why I want Aiden's art to be nurtured from home via homeschool instead of stripped away by public school forced conformity.

Happy Birthday to Me. Yes, I bought myself my own birthday card. You see, I had originally planned to give it to someone but I just can not lie to myself and tell myself that once I hold it in my hands it will go anywhere but in a frame and onto my wall. Wouldn't you if you held something just so damn cute in your hands?! This little guy is appropriately named 'Birthday Squid' and he shall forever be my favorite...until tomorrow of course (maybe later). It will be a close second in the near future once my custom order for Aiden is complete!

I know, I've posted way to often today as it is, but I had just one more person I had to tell you about. Her name is Natalie. You have to go check out her Etsy site 'Bake and Destroy' and then go read her blog 'NatalieCakes'. If I could possibly have been this clever as to adjoin the two loves of my household, I think I might be able to quit State Farm and live happily ever after having a job where I didn't have to hide my tattoos, dress appropriately, and be careful about what I discuss over lunch. Of course, my site would have to be something along the lines of 'Drink and Destroy' or 'Decorate and Destroy' and I don't think anyone would be quite as intereted. So I think I'll just stick with this blog. A little of everything is enough for me at this point. And who knows what will happen when I find my niche!

Alright! So here you have it. The BEST ETSY SELLER for vintage aprons... EVER. So, you know how I was so going to open my own apron shop because not only do I collect aprons, but I bet I could design them? Well, surprised as you may be to find out, I didn't do it. How's that for finishing what I started, eh? Regardless, check this chick out! After a brief convo with Shauna via Etsy mail, she has been working over a year to sew stock for the store and if I do say so myself (again) she has done a beautiful job! So on that note, I know atleast one of you were planning on buying me another apron for Christmas or my Birthday...one of these three would suit me just fine! P.S.
