For some reason the mug reminds me of the mug I stole from my father's apartment after he died. I appreciate the handcrafted nature of this one as much as he did the handcrafted nature of his own he used every morning.

I would really very much so like to have a mug of my own. How great would it be to have a mug that is so beautiful and so... sooo... sooooo *sigh*. I am a little more comfortable than I was a moment ago. You know the feeling of sitting with a nice hot cup of coffee in front of a big window watching the Earth wake up? Comfortable like that.

Etsy is doing a story right now that you can read here. I really like Mary already. Her quoted quote is one of my new favorites. It's spoken so much more eliquently than the rambling explanation of why I want Aiden's art to be nurtured from home via homeschool instead of stripped away by public school forced conformity.

How I spent tonight:

I taught Aiden his first lesson on how Martha Stewart does Mother's Day. The boy is going to be good to me, I just know it!

Christmas Gifts Galore

Thanks to an amazing family, my little boy couldn't have been more spoiled this Christmas morning! Aiden was thrilled to receive so many gifts... among the many a few favorites were a ball pit, dancing Brobee, shake and roll race car, mega blocks, and of course, the pictured tricycle! Lucky? Beyond. Loved!

The Cutest Thing!

So I was looking up gifts for Aiden and came across this most adorable little monkey!

If I knew that he would love it and carry it around with him for days on end and sleep with it everynight and cuddle it all day long, I'd so totally buy it for him.

But you know, at those stipulations, I totally need to buy this for myself!

The Custest Damn Thing Ever

Aiden Gray on Halloween 2007. I couldn't resist. Nostalgia kidnapped my heart and held it hostage, threatening tears, until I uploaded these to share with the world.

Well, I tried. I tried to get him to be still so that I could take an awesome picture of him wearing this awesome t-shirt. As you can see, things did not go as planned. Do they ever when you have such a determined independent 18 month old? I submit that they do not!

Regardless, Target rocks. I adore their baby line "Now and Zen". This shirt says "Trouble is my business and business is good." Aaaah, so true. So true.

On a side note, look at all of those teeth! I tell you, if I were going through what he is right now, I'd be a bit inclined to do whatever I wanted to as well.

No Paparazzi Please!

Aiden was just too cute for me not to grab my camera. This is a series of photographs that I took obviously against his will. Photo 1: As soon as I pointed the camera at him he climbed off his lion. Photo 2: He then sat back down and just started waving his hands as if to say "NO PAPARRAZI PLEASE!" Photo 3: And when I wouldn't give it up actually came to me and took the camera. Then he promptly went to my purse and put it inside. Mouthing at me the whole time how unhappy he was. I wish I had a video camera.

Brandon is now forced to travel twice a day to Lavonia. In the afternoons Aiden has to go with him. Yesterday when I walked outside to get into the car I had to stop and catch my breath. Inside of the car was the most adorable creature! He is holding my lavender teddy bear that he must have suitably abducted from my nightstand.
