Funny Text Of The Day:

To notify Robby of my being late to our date at my house...

"I'm headed to the polls to cancel out your vote so I'll be there later (lmao)."

I know it prolly really pissed him off, but in the spirit of hilarious that oozes from my household, I had to make light of the situation at hand. That hand being the most important election of all time. Ever. Never. Actually, I do not think that this election is anywhere near as important as past elections.

*step onto soap box here*

I must say, that it is rather annoying that just becuase there is a 'black' man and a woman who may possibly become President, does not, by any means, make this the 'most important election of all time'. I think at best, that these factors make it the most interesting, most 'next big thing' but certainly not the most important. I'd like to think that maybe the first election ever or the election following the World Wars, the election during the Great Depression and similar elections that changed history would atleast have a substantial arguement. Right? I mean, we'll see. This may turn out to be the most important. I just don't think that it should have anything to do with whose running. Now, granted, if Arnold runs, we'll talk.

People tend to make importance of the "firsts" in this country and most people are calling it important because of the civil rights movement and how much hate was in the world at one time for black people, not just people. And to have come so far in just 3 generations, 4 generations is amazing if you honestly think about it and I think the election is more a test of spirit and a showing that the nation can move on and can really change as long as someone is willing to do the work. However, once that is "said" I think it should receed into the background and then become just another election with two candidates. I'm not voting for anyone based on the color of there skin or their gender...though I might not vote for you if you are Mormon; AHAHA! Robby, don't get so worked up, it's a view and everyone is entitled to be different so if Ashley jabs you, you should learn to jab back.
